Luigi Anelli
(Vasto 20 February 1860 – 14 December 1944) was a multifaceted talented Vastese. He was a poet and historian in the vernacular. He wrote comedies and dramas and was author of essays. He was an archaeologist, coin collector, journalist, editor, musician and printer. He was a loved and much appreciated citizen of Vasto for all the things he did and the works that he left, which today are still the foundation of those interested in Vastese poetry.
Vastesi Proverbs was collected and annotated by Luigi Anelli. It was published in Vasto in 1897.
